Bliss Camp is the last DCYC Camp of the summer and is a space that welcomes anyone and everyone for a long weekend at our idyllic site near Blackpool Sands. The camp is a safe, friendly and relaxed space that allows you to catch your breath before the start of a new academic year. There is a mix of structured sessions, which centre on Christian teaching and worship, as well as free time to explore South Devon’s beautiful coast. You can also enjoy a range of exciting activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, archery, creative craft sessions and board games. It provides onsite children and youth work during the daily worship gatherings, so each member of the family can enjoy age-appropriate teaching. We are also blessed to have a catering team who keep us fuelled up for the entire weekend. Bliss Camp is suitable for all people of all ages, welcoming those who have attended DCYC events for years and those who are visiting. The weekend prioritises building relationships between individuals and church communities across the South West and worshipping our God in a beautiful corner of his creation. Bliss Camp transcends boundaries between denominations, and creates a community united in their love for Christ and fellowship with other believers. We are also pleased to offer various options to make Bliss more affordable - Students, and those that may have volunteered at another DCYC camp this year came come along for £50, whilst under 16's can attend for £40. We can't wait to see you at camp!
We are Adam and Jen and we currently live in Exeter. We feel very blessed to be part of the DCYC family, and are really excited to spend another weekend welcoming you to Bliss! Our backgrounds are rooted in North and Mid Devon and Jen has been attending DCYC since coming to Girls camp as a camper. We have spent over a decade serving as a leader across many different camps, and have been honoured to manage Bliss camp for the last 4 years. Our passion for Bliss camp is to see relationships between people and churches strengthened through fellowship with one another: from the young to not so young, from all walks of life and from all denominations. We want Bliss to transcend boundaries where denominations fail and to encompass all people under the love and grace of Jesus Christ. So, if you are looking for a Bank Holiday weekend of great fun, great fellowship and great food (!) Bliss camp might just be the place for you!
