DCYC’s Boys Camp is a week of high-energy games and adventure in the heart of Devon. It is a chance for us to grow in friendships as we explore more about God and how exciting life is when he is at the centre. As with all DCYC camps, Boys Camp hosts a range of exciting activities. We make the most of our idyllic location near Blackpool Sands and provide opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and a beach sleep. Other activities include archery, woodland exploration, field games and board games. Expect to enjoy great food that will keep you fuelled up for all of the adventures of the week. At Boys Camp, we aim to grow in our thankfulness to God for all of the awesome sports and hobbies he has given us. The week allows a time to grow in knowledge of the Christian faith through worship, prayer and teaching. The camp is a safe space to ask questions and the community atmosphere amongst the teens and leaders sees this camp get better year on year.
I'm Tim, a youth worker based in Woodbury, currently attending Christ Church Woodbury. I have helped at Boys Camp over the past 10 years and have seen some amazing things happen, both on the football pitch and what God does in these boys lives. This will be my first year managing boys camp and I am excited about having fun and bringing kids closer to Christ. Boys Camp is such a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, (both campers and officers) learn a new skill, (such as Kayaking, Crocker, Archery) experience something new, (such as sleeping on a beach, widegames) and learn more about God.
