DCYC’s Senior Mixed Camp is a week of building friendships and community among the South West’s young people. It provides a space to explore the Christian faith, perhaps for the first time, or to grow deeper in your relationship with God. The week is your own to enjoy activities, teaching and worship sessions that are accessible whatever your background or views on the Christian faith. As with all DCYC camps, Senior Mixed hosts a range of exciting activities. We make the most of our idyllic location near Blackpool Sands in South Devon and provide opportunities for kayaking, swimming, and a beach sleep. Other activities include team sports, drama and music, Nerf gun wars, plus a whole range of creative craft sessions and board games that run throughout the week. The warm community atmosphere at Senior Mixed makes everyone feel welcome and at home (especially the amazing meals cooked by our fantastic kitchen team!). Amongst all the other activities, there is plenty of space to relax and build friendships with other campers that continue beyond camp and on in to the future!
We are Charlie and Lucy Carron and we are the Managers of Senior Mixed. We currently live in Bristol where Lucy works for Bristol University and Charlie works in Adolescent Mental Health. Charlie has been coming to DCYC since 2002 and would happily live there all year. After meeting Lucy at Exeter University, he dragged her along and she's never looked back. We absolutely love Senior Mixed! The camp feels like a big family and there is a great mix of activities, whatever your interests (inflatable obstacle courses, kayaking on the River Dart, Nerf gun wars, team sports, eating cake). But what we love the most is seeing God at work in people's lives. Come and join in!
