DCYC’s Junior Mixed Camp is an action-packed week that focuses on having fun as a community of God’s people in the South West. We do this through games, activities, worship, and teaching. As well as uniting as a whole camp, we also prioritise small group time at Junior Mixed, to build long-lasting friendships that grow from year to year. As with all DCYC camps, Junior Mixed hosts a range of exciting activities. We make the most of our idyllic location near Blackpool Sands and provide opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and a beach sleep. Other activities include archery, woodland exploration, field games, plus a whole range of creative craft sessions and board games that run throughout the week. Junior Mixed promises to be a memorable week of your summer holiday. It is a time that allows you not only to explore a range of sports and develop new hobbies, but to spend quality time getting to know God and the joy that knowing Him brings. We are Jess, Sam and Sharon and are friends that have been leaders at Junior Mixed for many years as well as campers! We all have very different jobs - Sam is a HGV driver, Jess a teaching assistant in a primary school and Sharon who works for the ambulance service. We love being at camp and it is the highlight of our summer. Before managing camp, we have all been involved in many different roles ranging from being part of the worship band to cleaning the toilets! We are passionate about young people realising that God loves them unconditionally and helping to facilitate them connecting to God which helps them to grow in their own faith. We love getting to know new people and would hugely encourage any young person interested in coming to Junior Mixed Camp to come along and see what we do and become part of the DCYC family.
