John 10 v 10: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Praise God that we had 74 boys attend this year and we were blessed with fantastic weather, which enabled us to do every activity that we had planned.
We had a great team of leaders who worked tirelessly to ensure the boys had a great week. Although there were quite a few new leaders there was a great team ethic and they were truly of one heart and spirit focused on bringing glory to God. Each area of the camp ran really well and we were really blessed to work with such a great team.
Sean Schofield did an excellent job as our speaker and used the theme of identity to put across the value of the Christian faith and the impact Jesus can have in our lives. We were so privileged to see 11 boys give their lives to Christ and many others asking God to help them get their Christian walk back on track. We also had a wonderful time of testimony after our communion service with over 20 boys sharing how God had impacted their lives.
We had two incidents, which required a trip to Dartmouth minor injuries unit, but thankfully neither boy was seriously hurt and were able to enjoy the rest of the week. Unfortunately, we did have a small number of boys who had a sickness bug during the week, but thankfully we were able to stop it from spreading.
We all had an awesome time at camp this year and didn’t want it to end! We are so grateful for the prayers that were offered up before camp and believe they paved the way for God to do His work. We would ask for prayer for those who became Christians this year, that they will be able to stand firm in their faith, be bold with their walk with God and be shining lights to those they encounter!
Quote from Shaun & Sarah Stanbury, Camp Managers
“This is our first year as Managers of Boys Camp although we have attended as Officers for a few years now. It is so rewarding to be working with a team, many of who were once campers and they are still growing in their faith and relationship with God. The fun, activities and food help to make a memorable week. It truly can be described as 7 days and nights that can change your life forever”
